How does the free trial work?
When you download BudgetThrow, you get full access to all features for 2 weeks, completely free. No credit card required to start. After the trial, you can subscribe to continue using the app.
Do I need to connect my bank account?
No! BudgetThrow is designed to work without bank connections. You manually enter your balance and bills, which means your bank credentials stay private and secure. This also means the app works regardless of which bank you use.
What pay frequencies do you support?
BudgetThrow supports weekly, bi-weekly (every 2 weeks), semi-monthly (1st and 15th), and monthly pay schedules. You can set your pay frequency during onboarding or change it anytime in Settings.
How is "Available Funds" calculated?
Available Funds = Your current balance minus all bills due before your next paycheck. This shows you exactly what you can safely spend without missing any payments.
Can I share my budget with my partner?
Yes! BudgetThrow supports group budgeting. You can invite family members to share a budget, and everyone sees the same Available Funds and bills. Each person can add and manage expenses.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Subscriptions are managed through the Apple App Store. Go to Settings on your iPhone → tap your name → Subscriptions → BudgetThrow → Cancel. You'll retain access until the end of your billing period.
Is my data backed up?
Yes. Your data is securely stored in the cloud and synced across devices. If you get a new phone, just sign in with your account and all your data will be there.
Can I export my data?
Yes. Go to Settings → Data → Export to download your bills and expenses in a readable format.
How do I delete my account?
Go to Settings → Account → Delete Account. This will permanently remove all your data. Make sure to cancel your subscription first to avoid future charges.
Is BudgetThrow available on Android?
Currently, BudgetThrow is only available on iOS (iPhone and iPad). We're considering Android support based on user demand.
